Q&A Session with Golkou Parhizgar and Yahsar Alishenas (tbc)

Golkou Parhizgar is an Iranian/British filmmaker based in London. Since graduating in 2005, from University of Wales Newport, with a BA in Film & Video, Golkou has made a few short films including a mid-length documentary in Iran, and has worked with numerous film directors on their directorial team. Due to her strong interest in themes of diversity, Golkou aspires to make films that explore issues of cross- cultural societies with the focus on Iranian diaspora.

Yashar Alishenas was born in Tehran and grew up in an Azeri-speaking family in Stockholm. He studied philosophy (etc.) in Heidelberg, Paris and Oxford, and briefly worked in theater as (assistant) director before devoting his soul to cinema. Trying to come to terms with his past and present in his films, he has realized that he quite enjoys writing scripts and acting the leading part. He might undertake a similar endeavor in the future.
