Enjoy an outdoor summer exhibition celebrating the best of Iranian cinema at the Opera House

Exhibition: Exclusive exhibitions of books, CDs & DVDs with special offer discounted rate (cash only).

Exhibition doors open from 5.30pm, so there is plenty of time to spend in the beautiful grounds of Holland Park and take pleasure in an afternoon of cultural celebrations. This is followed by an evening screening of an Iranian Film (title to be confirmed) at 8.30pm. More information

Film Screening - Paziraie Sadeh - UK Premiere (8.30pm) Winner of Netpac Award - Berlin 2012 Iran / 100 min / 2012 / Dir. Mani Haghighi / English subtitled Paziraie Sadeh (Modest Reception) Short Synopsis: Leila and Kaveh, stylish urbanites from Tehran, are driving through the snowy mountains with millions in cash. Their job: distribute it to the poor. But giving money away is not as easy as you might think. As the pair begin to invent stories to make people accept their charity, the line between generosity and manipulation becomes uncomfortably blurred. More information


Naghali - Traditional story telling - English & Farsi (6pm) - Naghali is narrating of important stories from the Iranian fables, myths and epics which have remained in the most important books since ancient times. In this play, one person both narrates and plays all the roles. Synopsis: Rostam is the champion of champions, defender of the truth and upholder of the justice in ancient Iran. The story takes place on Banoo Goshasp (Rostam's daughter) wedding night. More information


Live Music - Modern age performance (6pm) - A unique modern age performance of pop rock music will be given by Farzad Marand, a new London based singer-songwriter. He will be singing and playing three of his original songs on the piano whilst being accompanied by Alessandro La Barbera on the guitar. More information
